This is one I almost wish I had allowed to percolate a bit before posting. It went into what Ein thought, but what did he FEEL? As posted, he didn’t have much in the way of attachment to any of them, leaving to go with Ed more out of the feeling he didn’t want her to go it alone and to be there for her because they understood each other.
If I have any regrets about the story, it’s that I didn’t express Ein’s feelings more. I think that I got it across that he liked Spike and Jet and would miss them, but he chose a life with Ed.
